FW: Reagan: the worst US president of the 20th century

Christopher Jones writes: "The financial world requires precision every second, and Randy Black's statement is somewhat misleading. He is indeed correct that the US congress voted consecutive budget deficits from the Nixon administration until 1997, when Ronald Reagan came to office, partly over concern for the rising national debt. However, over his eight year presidency, Reagan tripled the national debt. In fact, from a financial standpoint, I am aghast when political scientists call Mr Reagan one of the great US presidents. In fact, his policy had nothing at all to do with conservatism. George Bush was right, Reaganomics was all "smoke and mirrors" based on "other people's money." Whose money? The Japanese for example. His administration was a "debt pusher" -- a policy which one day could destroy the very fabric of American society and capitalism as we know it". RH: When did George Bush make that statement about smoke and mirrors. Was it when he said "Read my lips"?
