FW: A little perspective from Michael Moore
Randy Black writes "Just a couple of comments regarding Peter OrneÂs hilarious, creative satire on the Michael Moore film, which cannot be labeled a documentary no matter MooreÂs desire. It is a movie, made for profit and nothing more: While Moore likes to claim that he was raised in a blue-collar family, the reality is that he was raised Ârich, living not in the blue-collar village that he claims, but in the exclusive super-wealthy one down the road. I suppose that the theory of claiming oneÂs roots to be blue-collar rather than rich gives some level of credibility to the writer of the script that would otherwise not be part of the equation if the public knew the truth.
Further, a point of order regarding Mr. OrneÂs comment, the USA does not have Âministers.Â
Finally, Mr. OrneÂs comment about Âfive Supreme Court membersÂ
The facts show that SEVEN, not five, members of the US Supreme Court voted to stop the recounts, while the final decision to overturn the Florida court (again) was 5-4 in favor of ending the mess, which is the number of Justices that I assume Mr. Orne refers to. The reality of the courtÂs decision, in effect, did nothing more than affirm that the Federal election laws that were in effect on the day of the election were valid, contrary to the attempts by the oft reversed Florida court to overturn federal election law and thus, the Constitution.
Bottom line: It would have all been moot if Gore had simply one his Âhome state, which he did not. That tells you something about the preferences of those who knew him best.

(I disagree strongly with Mr. OrneÂs assertion that Mr. Moore is anti-capitalist. Mr. Moore is laughing all the way to the bank with his tens of millions that he will net off his Âmovie.Â)

RH: If Michael Moore were a real patriot, he would claim to have been born in a log cabin.
